Pronto Holds Successful Spring Shareholder’s Conference in Atlanta

National Pronto Association held its Spring Shareholder’s Conference April 8-10 at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center in Atlanta, Ga. Despite tornado damage to the hotel and the downtown Atlanta area, more than 60 warehouse distributor shareholders and more than 70 vendor partners attended the three-day meeting. This meeting was primarily structured as one-on-one sessions between shareholders and suppliers, whereby the supplier had the opportunity to host up to 15 sessions over a two-day period. All together 900 one-on-one meetings took place.

FORT WORTH, Texas — National Pronto Association held its Spring Shareholder’s Conference April 8-10 at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center in Atlanta, Ga. Despite tornado damage to the hotel and the downtown Atlanta area, more than 60 warehouse distributor shareholders and more than 70 vendor partners attended the three-day meeting.

This meeting was primarily structured as one-on-one sessions between shareholders and suppliers, whereby the supplier had the opportunity to host up to 15 sessions over a two-day period. All together 900 one-on-one meetings took place.

On Wednesday, April 9, National Pronto Association Chairman of the Board, Tim Renehan of Stone Wheel in Willowbrook, Ill., opened the meeting with an update on the group. After the update, Kelly McDonald of McDonald Marketing based in Dallas, Texas, gave a dynamic presentation regarding the Hispanic impact on brand loyalty and the automotive industry.

Following McDonald’s presentation, National Pronto Association honored past board members who just completed terms; they were:

  • Gary Basciano of KMB/CT, Stamford, Conn.;
  • Dru Salvo of Salvo Auto Parts – Essex, Md.;
  • David Stein of National Auto Stores – Pennsburg, Pa.; and
  • Don Pilkington of XL Parts – Houston, Texas.

Additionally, Pronto honored Joe Gehlhausen of Midwest Warehouse – Marion, Ind., for his many years of service on the Computer & Technology Committee.

A luncheon was held on Wednesday, April 9 for shareholders and vendor partners. With more than 250 guests in attendance, Bill Maggs, president of National Pronto Association, recognized 10 shareholders that were 100 percent compliant on approved product lines.

  • Axle Plus Automotive – Stockton, Calif.;
  • Cee Kay Auto Supply – Moosic, Pa.;
  • KMB/CT – Stamford, Conn.;
  • Nevada Brake – Las Vegas, Nev.;
  • Papco Auto Parts – Homestead, Fla.;
  • Parts Authority – Rockville Centre, N.Y.;
  • Pronto Jobbers Warehouse – Rexburg, Idaho; and
  • Smothers Parts International – Santa Rosa, Calif.

The meeting concluded on Thursday, April 10.
