Valvoline Announces Automotive Technical Scholarship

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Valvoline has announced a scholarship program to aid students in pursuit of an automotive technical career. Known as the Valvoline Automotive Technical Scholarship, the program will award five $1,000 scholarships along with a $10,000 grand prize scholarship.

The scholarship program is being offered to students between the ages of 16 and 25 who are planning to attend an accredited technical institution or vocation technical institution.

Students can register for the scholarship at www.valvoline.com/pages/prizezone. Scholarship entries will be accepted beginning on May 7, with a deadline of Dec. 1. Drawings will be conducted monthly from July 15 through Nov. 15. The $10,000 grand prize scholarship winner will be selected on or about Dec. 15.

The scholarship prizes are not related to financial need and will be provided directly to the qualified institution as approved by Valvoline for use by the winners.

"Valvoline has always supported do-it-yourselfers in taking better care of their engines,” said John Stotz, director of brand management for Valvoline. "The Valvoline Automotive Technical Scholarship program demonstrates Valvoline’s commitment to young adults who have a passion for cars and vehicle care and want help in pursing an automotive technical education."
