DENSO to Consolidate Two Sales Companies in Japan

On July 1, DENSO Corp. will consolidate two of its sales companies in Japan -- DENSO Tokyo Corp. and Osawa Inc. Both companies are 100 percent owned by DENSO. DENSO Tokyo currently has 600 employees and sales of approximately $502 million. Osawa employs 65 and has sales of approximately $38.8 million. Both businesses will be folded under the DENSO Tokyo name.

KARIYA, Japan – On July 1, DENSO Corp. will consolidate two of its sales companies in Japan — DENSO Tokyo Corp. and Osawa Inc. Both companies are 100 percent owned by DENSO. DENSO Tokyo currently has 600 employees and sales of approximately $502 million. Osawa employs 65 and has sales of approximately $38.8 million.

DENSO Tokyo is responsible for aftermarket sales and services for the Kanto region in Japan, and Osawa Inc., markets automotive aftermarket products, including wipers. Both businesses will be folded under the DENSO Tokyo name.

In Japan, DENSO has eight regional sales companies, including DENSO Tokyo, and Osawa has eight sales offices. With the consolidation, DENSO Tokyo will assign the operations of Osawa’s sales offices to DENSO’s regional sales companies in each region.

“By consolidating the two companies, we aim to improve our business efficiencies and provide better and faster service to the market,” said Kenji Ohya, senior managing director in charge of DENSO Corporation’s Sales Group.
