AKRON, Ohio – Counterman magazine is proud to announce the winners of the 2007 Reader’s Choice Awards, the magazine’s prestigious, annual readership-based recognition program.

This year’s winners are: Anchor Industries, Bendix, CRC Industries, DENSO, Monroe Brakes, Monroe Shocks, Moog, Morse Automotive, Trico and WIX Filters.

To select the winners, Counterman conducted readership surveys covering the February, May and August 2007 issues of the magazine. Subscribers were contacted in the months following each issue and asked which ads they recalled seeing and reading. A score was generated for each ad in those three issues. These numbers were then calculated using a special formula to determine the top winners.

“Once again, we are honored to recognize these great companies that have made quite an impression on our loyal readers via their effective advertising and brand messaging. These companies and their brands are dedicated to delivering a message to the vitally important aftermarket distribution channel, which includes Counterman readers at the store level, the WD principals, the decision-makers at the headquarter level and the critically important sales professionals at every level who sell their products every single day,” said Counterman Publisher Jon Owens. “While we at Counterman are the ones who present the awards, this is truly our readers recognizing these companies as the best advertisers and marketers in the business. On behalf of our readers, we congratulate them!"

Counterman magazine is focused on providing the automotive parts distribution industry with both technical and market-driven information that enables parts professionals to sell more parts, products and services to both the DIFM and DIY markets. Founded in 1983, Counterman magazine is distributed to more than 45,000 distribution professionals every month.
