MEMA said meetings with legislators and their staffs achieved support for The REPAIR Act vote on the House floor.

MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers members from across the country visited Capitol Hill last week to meet with members of Congress to urge them to pass the REPAIR Act in 2024. Meaningful meetings across the House, Senate and administration were held and will continue over the next couple of weeks, MEMA Aftermarket said.

The organization said meetings with legislators and their staffs achieved its immediate goal of building support for a REPAIR Act vote on the House floor and making progress toward a Senate bill introduction.

The fly-in is the first step in MEMA Aftermarket’s multi-channel 2024 advocacy campaign in support of the REPAIR Act. The next step includes engaging with members of Congress when they return home during breaks in March and April. MEMA is encouraging organizations that would like to host a Congressional representative at their facility to fill out an interest form.
