ADVICS Expands Product Lines, EPB Actuator Kits

ADVICS Expands Product Lines, EPB Actuator Kits

The release of Advics EPB actuator kits in North America will cover more than 8 million VIO.

ADVICS is expanding its brake system product offerings by adding new electric parking brake actuator kits, which attach to the vehicle’s caliper and automatically engage the parking brake.

Electric parking brakes (EPB) are extremely common among new cars today, according to ADVICS. While conventional parking brakes require some physical force for engaging and disengaging, electric ones only need the driver to push a button to engage before exiting the vehicle or disengage before driving away. The brake force in an EPB is being generated by a DC motor called actuator or motor gear unit (MGU) and sometimes it may fail resulting in costly repairs, the company said.

These new aftermarket EPB actuator kits are current OE production parts, manufactured in Japan. Installation hardware is included in the kits, providing the bolts and O-ring seals the technician needs to complete the replacement.

ADVICS said. Application coverage for several 2018-2023 Toyota and Lexus models. Kits include actuator, bolts and O-ring seals and are available in AISIN warehouses.

“We’re always glad to announce new aftermarket brake parts, expanding coverage for our customers,” said Larrow Kaufman, senior manager for sales and marketing, Aftermarket North America for AISIN. “This announcement is even more monumental due to the significant number of VIO coverage offered.”

The expansion includes two new part numbers (ACR001, ACR002), providing coverage for over eight million VIO, Advics said. The new product announcement is one of several presented by the AISIN and ADVICS brands at the 2023 AAPEX SHow in Las Vegas, Oct. 31 – Nov. 2, at booth #A4657.
