PDM Automotive Wins 2023 BTC Technology Innovation Award

Johannes Crepon, CEO and co-founder of PDM Automotive, accepted the award.

MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers’ Business Technology Council (BTC) announced PDM Automotive as the 2023 winner of the BTC Technology Innovation Award during the 2023 Aftermarket Technology Conference.

Johannes Crepon, CEO and co-founder of PDM Automotive, accepted the award.

Crepon explained the company’s content-generating AI for automotive omnichannel success during the BTC fall meeting. The technology generates SEO titles, descriptions and marketing copy for products based on keywords and inputs in just seconds, substantially reducing manual inputs and errors and improving search and product discoverability for the hundreds of brands and resellers PDM Automotive serves.

“We really had such a high caliber of award applicants and finalists for this year’s BTC Technology Innovation Award,” said Chris Gardner, senior vice president of Programs & Technology at MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers. “AI is the hottest topic in technology today, and PDM Automotive’s application of this revolutionary technology appears to be a tremendous benefit for aftermarket suppliers.”

Five other award finalists presented their recently developed technology developments: DPFTRAC, Epicor, Partium, Vertical Development/ShowMeTheParts and ZF Group.

Past winners of the BTC Technology Innovation Award include:

  • 2022 – Dorman Products for its website-based live, local inventory
  • 2021 – VizSeek for its visual parts searches
  • 2020 – OptiCat for its automated load sheets

Applications for next year’s award will be available in early 2024 on mema.org. Eligible companies must supply technology solutions that address one of the BTC’s areas of focus, available at www.mema.org/networking-groups/BTC.
