Women in Auto Care Becomes UAF Gold Lifetime Trustee

Jessica Toliuszis, WiAC chair, will continue to represent Women in Auto Care on the UAF board of trustees.

Women in Auto Care (WiAC), an industry community dedicated to engaging, educating and empowering women in the auto care industry, announced it increased its level of support of the University of the Aftermarket Foundation (UAF) by becoming a Gold Lifetime Trustee.

The University of the Aftermarket Foundation says its gold lifetime trustee designation “is reserved for exceptional donors who support the UAF mission of providing scholarships and educational opportunities for the next generation of aftermarket professionals.”

Jessica Toliuszis, WiAC chair, will continue to represent Women in Auto Care on the UAF board of trustees.

“Our Women in Auto Care community increases cross-organizational connections to broadly engage female members across the automotive aftermarket industry. We grow female employment with scholarships, funneling the pipeline of talent and closing the technician shortage. We improve female retention in the industry through our pillars of Education, Engagement, Advocacy and Influence,” said Toliuszis. “Partnering with the UAF has given Women in Auto Care a wide pool of candidates and provided the path to grants exceeding $1.5MM in scholarships and tools provided to women. This is in addition to the funds already granted to women through the traditional UAF contributions. I am more convinced than ever of the greatness of the automotive aftermarket and our potential of diversity.”

“We extend our sincere thanks to the members of Women in Auto Care for increasing their support of the University of the Aftermarket Foundation. The WiAC mission lines up well with UAF and by leveling up, they are helping to advance a shared goal of expanded access to scholarships and educational opportunities for women in the industry,” said Bob Egan, MAAP, UAF chairman.
