AutoZone EVP to Keynote AASA Vision Conference

Philip Daniele will discuss how AutoZone collaborates with suppliers during this transformative time in the industry.

Philip (Phil) Daniele, executive vice president of merchandising, supply chain, marketing, and e-commerce, customer satisfaction at AutoZone, will be the keynote speaker for the 2023 AASA Vision Conference located in Chicago. Daniele will speak during the supplier-only Customer Spotlight segment and will cover this transformative time in the aftermarket industry which requires suppliers and customers to collaborate closely. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear responses to questions asked of an industry leader during the post-presentation Q&A session. 

“At AutoZone, our focus is on providing WOW! Customer Service while growing both our retail and commercial businesses,” said Daniele. “Now more than ever, we need to collaborate to address the challenges we all face, short and long-term. I look forward to sharing my perspectives, listening, and learning from other industry leaders at the upcoming AASA Vision Conference.” 

The Vision Conference will kick off with a welcome reception at the Loews Chicago O’Hare Hotel on April 11 and then will dive right into a full day of presentations, breakout sessions and networking on April 12. The Vision Conference is the industry’s premier event for thought leadership on the industry’s most compelling trends and issues. The conference attracts all functions within aftermarket companies, including executives, sales, marketing, and category and product management from the aftermarket’s top suppliers and channel partners. It is a forum for aftermarket professionals to engage, discuss critical issues, and learn about industry, economic, and technology trends to forward their business interests.

Daniele joined AutoZone in 1993 as a manager in training (MIT) and grew his career within the company while serving in numerous capacities as a store manager, district manager, regional manager, and divisional vice president before being promoted to vice president, merchandising in 2008. He has continued to progress throughout various levels of the organization, holding leadership roles in merchandising, global sourcing, commercial, and store operations. Phil is the recipient of several company awards, a seasoned leader with extraordinary balance across multiple organizational structures, and an AutoZone’s Executive Committee member. Daniele’s leadership and experience continue to help AutoZone strategically achieve success. He is a spokesperson and top fundraiser for Real Men Wear Pink (men fighting against breast cancer). He enjoys car racing (endurance road racing BMW), cycling and running.
