Purolator Launches PurolatorDIY Mobile App

The mobile app offers an online automotive filter lookup and interchange guide for consumers.

Purolator Filters announced it launched a new digital tool, PurolatorDIY, a mobile app that offers an online automotive filter lookup and interchange guide for consumers.

The PurolatorDIY app is available to iPhone and Android mobile users and can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play. It allows consumers to access up-to-date catalog information for all Purolator oil, air, cabin air and fuel filters. By taking a picture of the vehicle identification number (VIN), the app’s fully integrated VIN decoder search option identifies the specific replacement filters required for their vehicle. Users can also search by part number or vehicle make and model to find the exact match, Purolator says.

The PurolatorDIY app provides access to the entire Purolator filter family of premium products, which includes filters for virtually any passenger car, light truck, motorcycle, UTV, or ATV, according to Purolator. The app also offers access to easy-to-use installation PDFs, along with product descriptions and part number specifications. In addition, it has a tool to cross-reference part numbers from other filter brands and commonly used vehicles can be easily added to a customized favorites list.

“With the creation of the PurolatorDIY app, do-it-yourselfers are now able to access all the information they need to simplify the maintenance of their vehicles,” said Tina Davis, senior marketing manager of brand and communications at MANN+HUMMEL Purolator Filters LLC. “The mobile app is the latest digital tool Purolator has developed to make the filter part buying and upkeep process easier and quicker for consumers.”
