Interstate Batteries Partners With Tractor Supply Company

Interstate’s battery products will appear on Tractor Supply shelves by late Q4 2022.

Interstate Batteries, a leading replacement battery brand with the largest independent battery distribution system in North America, announced a new partnership with Tractor Supply Company, the largest rural lifestyle retailer in the United States, to exclusively supply the retailer’s automotive, commercial and agricultural and power sports batteries.

Interstate’s battery products will begin appearing on Tractor Supply shelves by late Q4 2022. The 70-year-old battery company will utilize its network of 235 distributors, operating in 332 warehouses and in three regional distribution centers in the United States.

“Interstate Batteries has decades-long partnerships with many major automakers, fleets, roadside providers and retailers,” said Lain Hancock, Chief Operating Officer of Interstate Batteries. “We’re especially excited to add a company like Tractor Supply to that roster, especially one like TSC which is focused on growth, while also sharing our values for excellent customer service and dependability.”

For 84 years, Tractor Supply has been committed to providing essential, everyday products that customers need, like animal feed, pet food and supplies, propane, fencing, garden supplies, home supplies and more. Tractor Supply Team Members have the knowledge to help customers find the right products for the job. Now, Interstate Batteries will be included in that mix in Tractor Supply stores nationwide.

“Our customers depend on us to provide everything they need for their homes, farms and ranches to maintain living ‘Life Out Here’,” said Tony Graham, vice president, divisional merchandise manager at Tractor Supply. “Partnering with a company like Interstate Batteries that delivers quality customer service and dependable batteries allows us to fulfill that commitment while working toward our sustainability objectives.”

Both Interstate and Tractor Supply prioritize sustainability and are working toward minimizing their environmental impact. As part of the companies’ new partnership, Interstate will provide its industry-leading battery recycling services to Tractor Supply, ensuring a closed-loop-system that is Green Standard-certified while delivering improved quality and freshness in every battery.

“We’ve been number one in batteries for 30 years, and we’re thrilled to bring our dependable service and products to Tractor Supply stores,” said Hancock. “We’re so honored to be part of the Tractor Supply family and for them to be part of ours, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for this partnership.”
