GM Honors Elgin Industries for On-Time Shipping

GM awarded Elgin with Platinum Level Supplier status, its highest level of supplier.

General Motors (GM) has awarded Platinum Level Supplier status to Elgin Industries in recognition of Elgin’s 100% on-time delivery of original equipment and replacement engine components. Platinum Level status is the automaker’s top supplier level.

“We are proud to contribute to the impressive success of General Motors and its customers,” said Elgin Industries President Bill Skok. “Achieving Platinum Level status is an annual goal for our team. We understand that to be the best we need to consistently meet or exceed the needs of the world’s premier engine OEMs and aftermarket distribution organizations.”

Elgin manufactures a variety of engine components that are installed as original equipment and/or distributed through the GM Customer Care and Aftersales business.

In announcing Elgin’s achievement, GM acknowledged “your dedication and commitment to consistently perform above expectations.”

GM is the largest US-based automobile manufacturer. The Customer Care and Aftersales business supplies replacement parts and automotive services through GM’s network of dealers and other partners in more than 100 countries.
