Safelite Names New President And CEO

Renee Cacchillo named Safelite Group President and CEO; Tom Feeney assumes the role of executive chairman — Belron North America.

Safelite Group has announced Renee Cacchillo as its next president and CEO. Tom Feeney, who has been Safelite’s CEO since 2008, will become executive chairman of Belron North America. Cacchillo and Feeney will assume their new roles as of Dec. 6, 2021.

“Renee is the right person to serve as Safelite’s CEO at this pivotal moment,” said Feeney. “She brings a deep understanding of the company to this role, has plans for accelerating its pace of growth and holds an innovative vision for the company’s future.”

Since joining Safelite in 2011, Cacchillo has held increasingly important roles in both business units – Safelite AutoGlass and Safelite Solutions – and in leading major functional areas including IT, marketing, digital and customer experience. This promotion is the realization of a career spent gaining experience and providing leadership in all aspects of the business, with particular emphasis on customer service and talent development. Before joining Safelite, Renee held leadership positions at Hallmark, Accenture, L Brands and Bob Evans.

“I see and believe in Safelite’s future potential and am confident that we have the leadership, experience and skills needed to achieve the company’s goals for both growth and talent,” said Cacchillo. “We value our people, and together built a culture that exemplifies teamwork at its finest — with passionate associates dedicated to serving our valued customers and clients. I look forward to driving our company forward while staying true to our purpose and philosophies. It’s an honor to assume this role during a time of transformation and opportunity.”

After 34 years with Safelite, Feeney will leverage his expertise to lead Belron’s North American businesses, partner with Cacchillo on her transition and retain responsibilities for Safelite’s community engagement and philanthropic activities. Under Feeney’s leadership, Safelite’s revenue has doubled and doubled again, with the number of associates increasing threefold to nearly 16,000, thanks to a strategic framework built around a people-powered, customer-driven culture that continues to evolve. Feeney led the initiative to reset the vision for Safelite to be the greatest, most trusted and admired service brand, fundamentally shifting the company’s trajectory.

Cacchillo will join Feeney on Belron’s global leadership team, representing Safelite. Gary Lubner, CEO of Belron, said, “Renee has demonstrated that she has all the leadership and strategic skills to build on Safelite’s successful journey, and I look forward to working closely with her. I would also like to thank Tom for his dedication, his passion and all he has done to build Safelite into the business it is today. I have no doubt that his expertise will be a strong contributing factor in further growing our businesses. I’m delighted to have two such exemplary leaders as part of our Belron team.”
