CADIA Announces Partnership With Tecklenburg Advisors

The Center for Automotive Diversity Equity and Inclusion expands to the auto care industry.

Tecklenburg Advisors and the Center for Automotive Diversity, Inclusion and Advancement (CADIA) are partnering to drive change throughout the automotive sector by expanding CADIA’s offering to the Auto Care industry.

Founded in 2017 by CEO, Cheryl Thompson, CADIA is a mission-driven organization focused on diversity and inclusion in the automotive industry.

Through workshops, roundtable series, educational academies, events and more, CADIA drives change and provides its members with best practices and trends on talent system redesign, equity, inclusion and employee engagement. With members and clients from the automaker, aftermarket, supplier, dealer, association and economic development communities, CADIA’s members are invited to hear from all aspects of the automotive value chain while finding common ground and exploring leadership, diversity, equity and inclusion themes.

As a visionary leader in the automotive aftermarket for more than 25 years, Tammy Tecklenburg, principal, Tecklenburg Advisors has been a champion for diversity, equity and inclusion throughout her career at Fortune 100-500 companies, start-ups, and with various volunteer roles. Tecklenburg served the Auto Care industry as president, Women in Auto Care, a global community focused on connecting, empowering, and mentoring women. She led the launch of the industry’s first formal mentor program in 2014 and has been recognized for making a significant impact to the development of the next generation of leaders with the 2015 “Auto Care Woman of the Year,” 2018 Ratchet & Wrench “All Star” and the 2021 AMN Magazine “Women at the Wheel” industry awards. Tecklenburg is a member of the CADIA Advisory Board, the Auto Care Board of Directors, and the Women in Automotive Board of Directors. She serves as an advisor to the Young Automotive Networking Group (YANG) and is a Northwood certified AAP – Automotive Aftermarket Professional.

“It is so inspiring to see companies and CEOs from across our industry connect through CADIA to share best practices in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in both policies and practices,” says Tecklenburg. “CADIA provides an authentic and collaborative culture in which all people at all levels can all learn and grow together. I am thrilled to have joined forces with this talented organization to support their Advisory Board and provide DEI education, membership, and consulting resources to my expansive network across Auto Care and beyond. Based on my personal experiences, I believe that we all have a lot of work to do before the Auto Care industry is more reflective of the world around us and I am honored to support this mission.”

“We are thrilled to be announcing our partnership with Tecklenburg Advisors. We look forward to working with Tammy to help Auto Care companies accelerate the DEI journey,” said Thompson. “Companies that work toward creating truly inclusive cultures will naturally experience more employee engagement and will be able pull from a greater talent pool of individuals eager to work for an organization that celebrates their differences and is eager to harness the diversity of thought that this brings.”

Tecklenburg Advisors and CADIA will co-host an Auto Care Roundtable from 10-11 a.m. on July 27 via Zoom. The Roundtable is a forum for DEI champions in the Auto Care industry to share information, discuss best practices and benchmark other industries. The meeting is open to DEI champions (regardless of title) in the Auto Care industry.

Registration is free but you must register in advance.
