VP Racing Fuels, a global leader in performance fuels, lubricants and additives, is the latest company to join The Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) membership network.

The research and development for UVs started by accident as many customers picked up VP fuels at local speed shops as an alternative to pump gas, which was inconsistent and low in quality. VP offers high-quality fuels that minimize street gasoline’s bad aspects and maximize the good aspects. Some examples are consistent RVP, easy starts, long shelf life, and no gumming and deposits. VP began its research and development on turbine/Jet fuels in 2018 once discovering that JP-5 and JP-8 have many variables between manufacturers and regions. VP Racing Fuels has identified several fuel blends that will offer better performance in UV’s. 

The AUVSI organization and its members support VP Racing Fuels’ efforts to help members make better fuel choices. As a 45-plus-year-old company known for performance products and technical leadership, VP is now transferring some of that knowledge to the UV markets.
