First Brands Group Announces AWDA Promotion

First Brands Group will make a $500 donation to the UAF in the name of each customer it earns following the annual conference.

First Brands Group will introduce a new customer program at the upcoming Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA) virtual event, making a $500 donation to the University of the Aftermarket Foundation (UAF) in the name of each customer it earns following the annual conference.

“We recognize that the future of our industry is dependent upon having skilled professional technicians to keep motorists on the road,” said Glenn Barco, vice president, sales, First Brands Group, LLC. “We are looking forward to meeting with our valued customers during AWDA and presenting our portfolio of industry-leading brands to them. As a thank you, we will make a donation to the University of the Aftermarket Foundation in the name of each customer who takes on a new line by March 31. This program gives us the opportunity to help our customers grow their businesses and strengthen the technician community at the same time.”

For every new line customer commitment signed by March 31, 2021, First Brands Group will donate $500 in the name of the customer to the University of the Aftermarket Foundation.

“The University of the Aftermarket Foundation relies on the generosity of industry partners to support our mission of funding scholarships and educational programs to ensure a knowledgeable, well-trained aftermarket work force,” said Bob Egan, chairman, University of the Aftermarket Foundation. “We appreciate the innovative way that First Brands Group has found to help us ensure a bright future for our industry through education.”

Qualifying brands are ANCO wiper blades, Autolite spark plugs, Carter fuel and water pumps, FRAM filtration products, LuberFiner filtration products, Raybestos complete brake solutions, StrongArm lift supports and TRICO wiper blades.

The University of the Aftermarket Foundation funds educational programs and hundreds of scholarships each year to help educate and develop the next generation of aftermarket professionals. In 2020 alone, UAF awarded over 460 scholarships totaling more than $640,000.
