ACC Announces New Leadership, Board Appointments

Jim Merle of Babcox Media moves into president role, Jennifer Holland of ASE steps up to vice president.

The Automotive Communications Council (ACC) has announced that new selections have been made to the organizations’ leadership team and its board members. The announcement of the new roles comes as a bright spot in a year in which the ACC was forced to postpone its popular annual conference due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The member-run ACC is led by a leadership team consisting of a president, vice president and immediate past president. The leadership team is supported by six members of the ACC who serve as board members.

The leadership team for 2020-2021 includes:

President: Jim Merle, Babcox Media

Vice President: Jennifer Holland, ASE

Immediate Past President: Georgianne Dickey, NTN Bearing Corporation

The new members who have been elected as board members include:

Peter Bulmer, Turnkey Media

Shawn Collins, Extend Group

Heather King, OE Connections

John McGrane, Sensata

Immediate Past President Georgianne Dickey announced the new appointments for the leadership team and board members and noted, “The ACC is extremely excited to announce our new leadership team, as well as the new members of board. Since the ACC is a member run organization, the responsibility for planning our annual conference, communicating our messaging and providing education to our members falls on our elected leadership. We are so proud that we have members of the ACC who are willing to spend their time and resources to ensure that our organization flourishes.”

“I’d like to extend utmost gratitude to our Immediate Past President, Georgianne Dickey,” added newly appointed ACC President Jim Merle. “Georgianne served in her role as president for the past year and provided the ACC with excellent leadership throughout that time. I am thankful to have her as a guide as I assume the responsibilities of my new role.”

All newly appointed members begin their roles effective immediately.
