WEGMANN automotive Earns GM Supplier Award

The Supplier Quality Excellence Award is only presented to the top manufacturers that meet GM’s strict quality criteria.

WEGMANN automotive USA Inc., a leading wheel balance weight OEM supplier in North America and the parent company of the Hofmann Power Weight and Perfect Equipment wheel weight brands, as well as the valve brand Alligator, received the General Motors 2019 Supplier Quality Excellence Award this past week. General Motors began presenting this award seven years ago to its top performing manufacturers and WEGMANN automotive has received the award all seven years.

“It has been a challenging start to 2020 but receiving good news like this ensures that our team is continuing to do the right things to keep our customers happy. We strive daily to ensure that all our partners are able to receive high quality goods with world-class service,” said Jeff Waechter, President & CEO of WEGMANN automotive USA Inc.

The Supplier Quality Excellence Award is only presented to the top manufacturers that meet GM’s strict quality criteria. Manufacturers are evaluated on more than 12 criteria including the timely delivery of high-quality products, smooth production processes and innovative strength. Eligible candidates must also have quality systems in accordance with standards such as IS0/TS16949 in place.
