The U.S. Senate has passed the third Coronavirus stimulus package, H.R. 748, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief & Economic Security Act (CARES Act). After extensive negotiations with the Administration, the package includes increased funding and relief for small businesses and loan forgiveness programs. The bill passed on a 96-0 vote. 

BendPak is opening a new 100,000-square-foot distribution center near Mobile, Alabama, to better serve customers in the eastern United States. The administrative and shipping complex, which is expected to be fully operational within 60 days, is located in Theodore, just a short drive from the expanding Port of Mobile.

The Federal government has issued guidance to state and local governments to include the vehicle service and repair industry in the definition of essential services for the purposes of emergency orders that require non-essential businesses to close.

Warn Industries has announced the acquisition of Factor 55, a manufacturer of highly engineered rigging hardware for Closed System Winching, a winching technique that uses rigging comprised entirely of closed link hardware. Similar to Warn, Factor 55 is a premium brand operating in the vehicle recovery market. The Factor 55 product offering includes: Winch Line and Splice-on Shackles, Fairleads, Pulleys, Vehicle Recovery Kits and Bags, Recovery Straps, Rope, and other Specialty Products.
