People On The Move: Week of March 2

A look back at personnel changes of the past week.

Dan Garceau has notified Autoliv that he is resigning as president of Autoliv Americas to pursue another position outside the company. The company has initiated a search for Garceau’s replacement, which will be announced at a later date. 

Advance Auto Parts announced that  Jeffrey Smith will not stand for re-election at the May 2020 annual meeting of shareholders. Smith’s current term expires May 15. The board of directors intends to appoint Eugene Lee Jr., a current independent director and the president and CEO of Darden Restaurants Inc., as chair in May.

Goodguys Rod & Custom Association, a leading producer of hot rod & custom car events across the U.S. for more than 37 years, recently announced the addition of Jason Snyder as vice president, sales & partnerships, and Aaron Hahn as director, partnerships to the organization.

Beep, a Florida-based autonomous mobility solutions company, recently announced it has appointed Racquel Asa as chief marketing officer. In this role, Asa will focus her efforts on strategic brand awareness and decision-making for Beep initiatives. 

Sensata Technologies recently announced that Jeffrey Cote, previously president and COO, has succeeded Martha Sullivan as CEO, effective March 1. The company also announced that Cote has been appointed to the board of directors, also effective March 1. He retains the title of president, in addition to his new role as CEO.

Gordon Fournier has been named COO and CFO for the Piston Group. Fournier’s role is effective March 16.

Horizon Global announced recently that the company’s board of directors increased the size of the board from eight to nine directors, and appointed Debra Oler as a director, effective immediately. Oler was also appointed to the board’s compensation committee and corporate governance and nominating committee.
