ZF Aftermarket, Jeff Buckley Give TRW Brake Pads To Schools

High schools, colleges and technical centers can enter to win the 'Installation Education' contest.

ZF Aftermarket and Jeff Buckley recently announced their collaboration to provide schools TRW branded brake pads. High schools, colleges and technical centers can enter to win the ‘Installation Education’ contest by answering a question and submitting a photo.

April and October are National Car Care Months, with April focusing on vehicle health and maintenance. Exiting winter and heading into spring months reminds people to make sure their cars are up to par on their regular maintenance checks. As the winter snow melts away and the April showers pour in, it’s important for drivers to know they’re safe to stop in time with brake pads that do the job.

Jeff Buckley

ZF Aftermarket and Jeff Buckley want to remind everyone of the importance of having quality brake pads, especially during times of weather changes. ZF Aftermarket released their new ‘perfectly tailored’ frictions lines, TRW Ultra and TRW Pro, in November 2019. The lines are designed to meet the OE formula specifications.

The TRW Ultra brake pad line offers nearly 800 SKUs providing more than 98% coverage for a wide range of vehicles up to 15 years old. The line also features a CITEC coating, providing vehicles additional stopping performance during the break-in period. The TRW Pro line offers more than 1,000 SKUs providing more than 98% coverage for vehicles up to 35 years old. With nearly 40 SKUs in both a ceramic and semi-metallic formulation, users can choose the product to best fit their needs.

Installation Education Entry

From March 1 until March 31, classrooms across the country may enter the ‘Installation Education’ contest by submitting a relevant automotive classroom picture and answering what difference having quality brake pads makes in a vehicle, and what they would be able to do with the brakes if their school won. All entries must be submitted through an online submission form at www.itsaboutthepart.com. Schools are welcome to be as creative as they would like with their entry photos. Limit one entry per high school, college or technical center.

From April 1 to April 14, all the nominations will be posted to the website where voting will be open. Voters can choose one school they believe deserve to win TRW branded brake pads.

Winners will be identified by the highest number of votes:

• First place will receive 8 sets of TRW branded brake pads

• Second place will receive 5 sets of TRW branded brake pads

• Third place will receive 2 sets of TRW branded brake pads

‘Installation Education’ places focus on the importance and ease of using quality parts during vehicle maintenance. Throughout the campaign, installation tips will be shared to help increase technical training in the field and in the classroom.

The winners will be announced on April 15 via a Facebook Live hosted by Buckley and ZF Aftermarket.

*This contest is open only to schools in the United States. For more information, visit www.itsaboutthepart.com.
