HDA Truck Pride Raises $44,000 For The Wyakin Foundation

The Wyakin Warrior Foundation was founded in 2010 to provide a pathway for wounded and injured post-9/11 veterans to transition through education, development and guidance.

HDA Truck Pride shareholders and supplier partners have raised more than $44,000 for the Wyakin Foundation, during its 2019 annual meeting.

The Wyakin Warrior Foundation was founded in 2010 to provide a pathway for wounded and injured post-9/11 veterans to transition through education, development and guidance. The need for the program continues to be great as hundreds of thousands of veterans transition from active duty service to the civilian community each year, and many face significant challenges as they reintegrate back into civilian society.

“One of the greatest honors of my role at the Wyakin Foundation is the opportunity to advocate for our wounded veterans and engage others in our efforts to do better for those who have served and sacrificed for our freedom. As such, it was a great privilege to address the attendees of the HDA Truck Pride Annual Meeting in April,” said Brent Taylor, president and CEO of the Wyakin Foundation. “My sincerest thanks go out to all of you who stopped by the booth to make a donation or learn more about our mission, and especially to the supplier partners that offered show specials in support of Wyakin’s mission – Dayton Parts, Dorman HD, Haldex, Kit Masters, Phillips Industries and Shur-Co.”

“Meaningful opportunities like this don’t happen every day. We’re humbled by the generosity of our members and suppliers to such a worthy cause. We’re proud to be part of such a selfless industry, and a cause bigger than ourselves,” said Don Reimondo, president and CEO of HDA Truck Pride.
