Complementary product lines will bolster offerings to customers in all regions and segments, Stanadyne says.

Stanadyne LLC  has acquired Columbia, South Carolina-based Pure Power Technologies Inc. (Pure Power), which specializes in the engineering and manufacturing of diesel fuel injectors and turbochargers. The combined companies bring together highly complementary product lines that will form a global company delivering broad fuel and air management systems directly to OEMs and OES/aftermarket channels.

With world-class facilities supporting the design, development, validation and production of best-in-class products for its customers, the enhanced Stanadyne organization now offers deep technical expertise in fuel management engineering and high-volume, high-precision manufacturing. Complementary products, market channels and facilities enable the new company to leverage scale and better support an expanded customer base, according to David Galuska, CEO of Stanadyne.

“Pure Power’s experience and expertise in high-precision engineering, testing and manufacturing of diesel fuel injectors and turbos is a perfect fit for our business,” said Galuska. “This transaction provides us the opportunity to better leverage our market-leading technologies, global presence, business processes and products to our customers across all channels.”

Stanadyne has a long and rich history of manufacturing fuel systems and components, with a strong emphasis on pumping technology in both diesel and high-pressure gasoline. An engineering-centric company with expansive R&D capabilities, the company serves the light vehicle, off-road and various other industrial markets.

“Combining with Stanadyne affords Pure Power new opportunities for growth and the ability to continue to deliver the best quality and customer service that has been the hallmark of Pure Power since its inception,” said Jerry Sweetland, president and CEO, Pure Power. “Together we have an experienced, highly seasoned management and production team in place to drive the future growth of this new combined entity.”

Pure Power, bringing its years as an OEM to the aftermarket, is well-known for its high-precision, fuel, air-management and after-treatment systems for light-, medium- and heavy-duty diesel engines, having produced more than 30 million precision diesel fuel injectors since 1999. Recently, the company launched an expanded product line of new and remanufactured turbochargers that are assembled in Pure Power’s IATF 16949 and ISO 14001-certified manufacturing facility in Blythewood, South Carolina.
