Exide Technologies Promotes Stefan Stübing To Executive Vice President And President, EMEA

Stübing will report to Tim Vargo, president and CEO, and will lead Exide Technologies in the EMEA region from the company’s European headquarters in Gennevilliers, France.

Exide Technologies, a global provider of stored energy solutions for the transportation and industrial markets, has promoted Stefan Stübing to executive vice president and president, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Stübing will report to Tim Vargo, president and CEO, and will lead Exide Technologies in the EMEA region from the company’s European headquarters in Gennevilliers, France.

“Exide Technologies has a history of leading the EMEA market with first-to-market innovations to help our customers drive greater efficiencies, reduce their carbon footprint and meet the increasing energy demands of today’s world,” said Vargo. “We see many opportunities for growth in EMEA that we can achieve with the help of Stefan’s leadership and deep understanding of Exide’s operations, the market and our customers.”

Stübing has more than 35 years of experience with Exide and was formerly vice president, finance for Exide Europe. He most recently served as the interim executive vice president, EMEA since September of 2018.
