National Auto Parts Warehouse Acquisition

National Auto Parts Warehouse Makes 7th Acquisition For 2018

With the deal, NPW will add two warehouses, bringing the company’s total number of warehouses now to 19 across the U.S. and Canada.

National Performance Warehouse Companies (NPW) has announced that it will acquire Performance Warehouse in the Pacific Northwest, again expanding the company’s presence on the West Coast. The transaction is expected to close on Oct. 15.

With the deal, NPW will add two warehouses, bringing the company’s total number of warehouses now to 19 across the U.S. and Canada. The acquisition includes the Hillsboro, Oregon, and Tacoma, Washington, warehouses and four stores – 3 in California and one in Idaho.

Performance Warehouse was founded in 1969 and markets performance, truck accessories and traditional parts. NPW says the company’s business model and products closely align with its own. Both companies are members of the largest buying groups in traditional and performance, the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance and AAM Marketing.

Performance Warehouse will continue to operate with JR Moore at the helm and industry veteran Mark Noble will oversee the two warehouse operations and the four stores, while Bonnie Delaney will join the NPW marketing team. The Baxter Stores will continue to operate with Ken Moore, Jim Moore and Kim Cham.

Commenting on the deal, Larry Pacey, president and CEO of NPW, said, “I have been associated with Lyle, JR and the Moore/Baxter families for many years. The common lines and market strategy align with our service, so this is a perfect fit. They run a great operation and we are happy that we could make this deal and continue to expand into major markets.”

JR Moore added, “This was a great opportunity to join two businesses with many synergies. The similar culture of NPW and Performance Warehouse will be good for the customers and employees. We are glad to partner with another family run business and a growing company with a national footprint.”
