ISO/TS 16949 is a technical specification intended for the development of a quality management system that delivers continual improvement, emphasizing defect prevention and the saving of variation and waste in the automotive industry supply chain. The accreditation was prepared by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) and the “Technical Committee” of ISO. The certification complements the country-specific regulations of quality management systems.
