TRICO Video Series, ‘Defensive Driving 101,’ Receives Industry Recognition After Successful Social Media Campaign

Wrapping up this month, the program was recognized as the best business-to-consumer social media campaign at this year's Automotive Communications Awards presented by Women in Auto Care.

TRICO’s latest initiative to place preemptive vehicle maintenance top-of-mind, the “Defensive Driving 101” video series and campaign, has garnered more than 1.3 million views on Facebook and YouTube since its launch this summer. Wrapping up this month, the program was recognized as the best business-to-consumer social media campaign at this year’s Automotive Communications Awards presented by Women in Auto Care.

“The ‘Defensive Driving 101′ video series is essentially our public service announcement,” said Kevin O’Dowd, vice president and chief marketing officer. “We wanted to entertain and engage our audience while delivering a critical message about driver safety and the importance of regular wiper blade replacement.”

The final “Defensive Driving 101” social media posts will be published this week. Full video and clips can be viewed here: YouTube Playlist. To learn more about TRICO’s diverse lines of wiper blade products, visit tricoproducts.com.
