VIP Tires & Service announced that Timothy Winkeler has been promoted to president and chief operating officer, and he has been appointed to the company’s board of directors. In his new position, Winkeler will be responsible for overseeing all functions at VIP. John Quirk will assume the role of chairman and CEO.
“It is with great confidence and that I promote Tim to president and chief operating officer,” said Quirk. “Tim has brought tremendous enthusiasm and energy to his operational leadership role at VIP. He has led VIP’s cultural transformation into a leading professional service organization and has inspired us all. In his new role, Tim will continue to shape all aspects of VIP’s business.”

While working, he received his Master in Business Administration degree from Oklahoma City University. Winkeler held several positions with Dana, and eventually worked his way up to plant manager, overseeing the Oklahoma City WIX Filtration Manufacturing Plant.
Winkeler joined VIP in May 2010 as vice president of merchandising and, in 2013, was promoted to chief operating officer.
