AAM Announces Appointment Of David Buckley As VP Of Strategic And Business Development

In this role, Buckley will lead AAM's business development and strategic global growth initiatives.

American Axle & Manufacturing Inc. (AAM) has announced that David Buckley has been appointed vice president – strategic and business development. In this role, Buckley will lead AAM’s business development and strategic global growth initiatives.

Buckley joins AAM from Vexos Inc., having previously held the position of president and CEO from 2014 to 2017. While at Vexos, he expanded the company’s sales and EBITDA, market, pipeline and customer base, while increasing productivity across the business, and establishing a robust platform for organic and inorganic growth.  

Prior to joining Vexos, Buckley gained global leadership experience as CEO of several companies, including Cross Match Technologies and Vectronix. Earlier in his career, Buckley led successful business units at both General Electric and PricewaterhouseCoopers consulting.  Buckley is known for positively transforming the focus and operations of organizations by guiding companies through periods of significant change, including rapid growth, turnaround, repositioning and rightsizing.  

Buckley holds a Master in Business Administration degree from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy.
