Hankook Tire America Corp. has hired Robert Dole to serve as its motorsports marketing manager and Dwain Stevens as corporate human resources manager, bolstering the company’s growing workforce at its American headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee.

Dole will manage promotion of Hankook Tire’s current motorsports assets in the American market and will work to expand its auto racing footprint. The company sponsors six drivers in the Formula Drift series and partners with Rhys Millen, a driver known for his success in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.

Dole previously owned his own business, RJD Sports Entertainment, a private firm specializing in motorsports and sports entertainment marketing, communications and operations. He has nearly two decades of experience in the motorsports and tire industries.

“Hankook Tire possesses a sterling global reputation for innovation, and it’s an honor to help steer and grow its American motorsports brand,” said Dole. “I am eager to work with our marketing team and world-class drivers to maintain our strong presence in the marketplace.”

Stevens brings significant human resources experience to Hankook. His two-plus decades of experience span several major corporations, including Magna International, Nissan North America and Comcast Cable.

He is responsible for implementing HR systems and supervising all HR staff at the American headquarters.

“Hankook Tire’s proactive workplace culture is highly regarded locally and internationally,” said Stevens. “I look forward to ensuring we remain one of Middle Tennessee’s best places to work.”

“These hires embody Hankook Tire’s enduring commitment to excellence in all areas of business,” said Hosung Suh, Hankook Tire American headquarters president. “As we grow in the American market, we are grateful to have high-quality leaders such as Dwain and Robert on our team.”

Hankook is rapidly expanding its presence in the Americas. It moved its American headquarters to Nashville from Wayne, New Jersey, in July 2016 and is putting the finishing touches on its first North American manufacturing plant in Clarksville, Tennessee.

The changes are aimed at satisfying growing demand for the global company’s products in the North American market. Hankook is in the process of hiring dozens of staffers at its American headquarters and hundreds at its plant in Clarksville.
