Donaldson Receives 4 ‘Master Of Quality’ Awards From Daimler Trucks North America

Daimler Trucks North America’s annual program, in its 30th year, recognizes outstanding suppliers that have received high scores on their quality, delivery, technology and cost performance.

Donaldson Co. Inc., a global manufacturer of filtration systems and parts, has announced that four of the company’s plants have received the 2016 Master of Quality Award from Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA). The Masters of Quality award is the highest recognition that DTNA gives to its suppliers.

All four Donaldson manufacturing plants have received the honor for three or more consecutive years:

  • Frankfort, Indiana, facility – five years
  • Greeneville, Tennessee, facility – four years
  • Cresco, Iowa, facility – four years
  • Aguascalientes, Mexico, facility – three years

“There are thousands of parts on a Daimler truck and Donaldson is just one of approximately 1,000 suppliers,” said Rich Lewis, vice president of global operations at Donaldson. “We are proud of our plant employees who help us provide parts that consistently meet the highest standards set by Daimler Trucks North America.”

DTNA’s annual program, in its 30th year, recognizes outstanding suppliers that have received high scores on their quality, delivery, technology and cost performance. This year, only 48 awards were distributed compared to 64 awards in 2015.

“Daimler Trucks North America tightened the criteria this year, making it even tougher to qualify as a Master of Quality provider,” said Graham Young, of DTNA’s supplier management division. “Donaldson has been a trusted and valued partner for us for many years. The innovation, quality and on-time delivery throughout their organization enables us to provide our customers with great products at a significant value.”

Donaldson has been an active partner with DTNA for almost a decade and has been a key supplier to Daimler brands since the 1950s, providing OE parts service and dealer resources. The company also is a first-fit partner that supplies Daimler globally, by meeting its strict criteria for quality, lead-time, delivery, continued supply and sustainability.
