RNR Tire Express & Custom Wheels (RNR), one of the fastest-growing tire and custom wheel franchises, has signed a franchise deal to bring 58 new locations to parts of the Southeast region within the next 10 years. The agreement is the latest in a string of deals from existing RNR franchisees who are reinvesting in the brand due to strong consumer demand of RNR’s pay-as-you-go tire and wheel business model.
RNR Tire Express & Custom Wheels says it has carved out a unique niche in the tire and wheel industry. With its payment plans that fit each client’s budget, RNR offers and professionally installs high-quality tires and custom wheels to a growing market. RNR has established a business model that allows clients to pay off name brand tires and wheels on a weekly or monthly plan that is affordable to them.
“RNR was founded on the principle that people should be able to afford the tires they need and the wheels they want,” said Larry Sutton, founder and president of RNR Tire Express & Custom Wheels. “In addition to our unique business model, our best-in-class service and follow up maintenance has truly propelled RNR to become the go-to dealer for affordable quality tires and custom wheels. At RNR, we’ve established a new way to buy tires.”
The unique pay-as-you-go or lease purchase business model is not just attractive to consumers franchisees of RNR have witnessed the demand of the service and are reinvesting in the brand to open more locations throughout the nation. Husband and wife team Shannon and Cynthia Strunk of the Gulf Coast currently operate 12 RNR shops throughout Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee and the Florida panhandle and recently signed a new agreement to develop 58 additional locations throughout those same states by 2026.
“RNR has evolved over the years and has quickly developed into the go-to tire and wheel retailer it is today,” said Shannon Strunk. “As a result of the increased demand for RNR’s products and services coupled with the success of our current 12 locations, it was a no brainer for us to decide to open as many stores as we could in the Southeast.”
Other recent newly signed franchise agreements with existing RNR franchisees include a 14-unit deal in Virginia and a four-unit deal that will expand the brand’s presence in Indiana and Kentucky.
Founded in 2000 by rent-to-own veteran Larry Sutton, RNR has since grown to almost 100 locations in 22 states. The brand has experienced significant organic growth with 16 franchisees operating 86 locations, and over the past 15 months, RNR has opened a new store every month.
