Continental Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket was presented with the 2015 Content and O’Cat Award from O’Reilly Automotive. The award was given on Feb. 3 during the Supplier Awards presentation, which was held at O’Reilly Auto Parts annual Store Manager’s Conference in St. Louis. This is the first time Continental Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket has received the supplier recognition award from O’Reilly Auto Parts.

Developing and maintaining comprehensive and reliable catalog data and attributes is a valuable component of the customer selling process and an important element for enhancing overall customer relationship and long-term success. The O’Reilly Auto Parts award recognizes the supplier that provides the best support for catalog and content in its parts system.

Continental Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket was chosen because it enabled O’Reilly locations to effectively sell Continental’s VDO-branded parts as well as O’Reilly’s Murray- and Import Direct-branded parts to their customers by consistently providing accurate and proactive catalog information and ensuring its validity. O’Reilly said this made it easier for store personnel, as well as retail and commercial customers, to successfully research vehicle part number applications.

In announcing the award, Tim Addis, national account manager, Continental Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket, noted, “We are proud and honored to receive this prestigious award. It validates our commitment to provide that kind of quality information and support that helps our customer efficiently sell our products. It also strengthens our ongoing relationship and partnership by helping our customers to increase their sales.”

Continentals’ key contributors in the O’Reilly Auto Parts programs include: Mark Berner, catalog manager; Rick Raveau, catalog analyst; Tim Addis, sales manager; Jim McGonagle, head of aftermarket sales; Rick Wagner, electric motor product manager; and Dave Maclay, head of product management.
