Nelson Global Products Acquires GT Exhaust And Silex Innovations

GT Exhaust and Silex Innovations were owned by parent company IAC. The acquisition of the assets is effective immediately and the transition is expected to be complete by Jan. 1, 2016.

Nelson - LogoNelson Global Products Inc., a manufacturer of tubular and exhaust products for commercial vehicle markets, has acquired the assets of GT Exhaust Inc. and Silex Innovations Inc. as of Dec. 18. GT Exhaust and Silex Innovations were owned by parent company IAC. The acquisition of the assets is effective immediately and the transition is expected to be complete by Jan. 1, 2016.

The GT Exhaust and Silex products and brands will now be part of Nelson Global Products product family and will be manufactured in Nelson’s facility in Arcadia, Wisconsin.  

Nelson Global Products is a portfolio company of Wind Point Partners, a private equity firm headquartered in Chicago. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

“This acquisition is a very exciting opportunity for us and is an excellent fit for our company,” said Kevin Stokstad, general manager at Nelson. “The GT and Silex brand names and product offering will further strengthen Nelson’s position as the market leader and our commitment to the industrial, off-highway and on-highway markets for acoustic products.”
