Transmaxx LLC, an automotive transmission parts distributor headquartered in Cleveland has opened a new distribution facility in Boston. Transmaxx was founded earlier this year, by industry veterans Monte Ahuja and Neil Sethi, who is Ahuja’s son-in-law.
Ahuja, Transmaxx’s chairman of the board, is an entrepreneur and philanthropist. He started his aftermarket career by growing a two person start-up in 1975 into one of the largest transmission parts distributors in the world, earning awards for outstanding growth.
“This is the first of many facility expansions as we develop our nationwide footprint,” said Sethi, who serves as CEO.
Tom DeMille, vice president of sales and marketing, added, “We are very excited to bring our customer-driven philosophies, quality products and unique service offerings to the greater Boston area.”
The new location in the city of Lawrence, Massachusetts, is just off of Interstate 93, which gives ideal access to service customers with same-day delivery in Boston proper and all major surrounding areas. The facility will be headed by Marc Fortier, a 30-year industry veteran who is a native to the Boston area. Fortier commented, “I’m very excited to provide my hometown with Transmaxx products and services. The passion that Transmaxx has for its customers is something that really resonates with me.”
