Borla To Feature All-New Product Line At 2015 PRI Show

CrateMufflers are exclusively designed to be paired with specific crate engines available from several different manufacturers and builders for high-end custom car builds.

Borla - SEMA ShowBorla Performance, a leading manufacturer of stainless steel performance exhaust, has announced it will exhibit at the 2015 Performance Racing Industry (PRI) annual trade show on Dec. 10 -12 in Indianapolis. Borla’s participation at “The Epicenter of New Racing Technology” follows an impressive showing at the SEMA Show, where the company introduced several new products and programs unique to the traditional Borla mission, including the CrateMuffler product line. The special mufflers were designed to be paired exclusively with high-performance engines and high-end custom car builds. Borla will have the CrateMuffler line on display at PRI in addition to its traditional racing and other high-performance products. Borla also will display several products from the Borla Induction product line.

Unique to the performance industry, CrateMufflers are exclusively designed to be paired with specific crate engines available from several different manufacturers and builders for high-end custom car builds. Borla says it takes the guesswork out of finding the right muffler for the job by creating a muffler with a specifically tuned exhaust note engineered to be paired with a particular engine. The CrateMufflers are available in all three of Borla’s patented sound levels: Touring, S-Type and Acoustically Tuned Applied Kinetics (ATAK), providing builders with several sound options when building a custom exhaust system for their hot rod.

“I’m particularly excited about PRI this year because it’s the perfect opportunity for us to introduce our new CrateMuffler line to the performance industry. Borla’s crate mufflers are not universal mufflers – rather, they’re engine-specific. While universal mufflers are a good solution for a wide variety of engines, they’re not the best solution for any specific engine because they compromise on sound and power in order to work with more than one engine,” said David Borla, vice president of sales and marketing. “We’ve finally unlocked the mystery of providing exhaust solutions to special builds and that is to focus exclusively on the sound profile of individual engines. We listened to what people have been asking for – a purpose-built muffler that really captures the unique Borla sound while integrating perfectly into a high-end custom build. This year’s display at PRI will not only feature several products in our performance and race lines, but it should also remind everyone of Borla’s continued commitment to the dedicated enthusiasts who have devoted their lives to this industry.”

All of Borla’s exhaust systems are made by hand in the United States from aerospace-grade, T-304 stainless steel, which provides lasting durability against rust and corrosion, according to Borla. The systems are designed in Borla’s Oxnard, California, research and development facility and built in its 320,000-square-foot production facility in Johnson City, Tennessee. All of Borla’s exhaust components and complete exhaust systems for the street are backed by Borla’s Million-Mile Warranty.
