HDA Truck Pride Expands Footprint With Sturdevant’s Auto Parts

The demand for commercial vehicle coverage in their market area has been on the rise. The addition of Sturdevant’s to HDA Truck Pride fits well with the strategic plan, the company adds.

HDA Truck - LogoHDA Truck Pride (HDATP) has expanded its footprint with the addition of Sturdevant’s Auto Parts.

Sturdevant’s was founded in 1932 as an auto electric and carburetor repair service. In 1951, the company began transforming from an auto electric service business into a wholesale auto parts company. Fast forwarding 65 years, Sturdevant’s is headquartered in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, operates 46 locations throughout South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa and Nebraska, with the company’s SAE Warehouse all servicing the market with automotive, performance, farm equipment and truck parts.

Sturdevant’s says it has experienced steady and consistent growth over the years by addressing opportunities for geographic expansion as well as product expansion. As its customers have grown, so has Sturdevant’s. The demand for commercial vehicle coverage in their market area has been on the rise. The addition of Sturdevant’s to HDA Truck Pride fits well with the strategic plan, the company adds.

Both companies have been working towards several common goals, including recruitment within the industry. Sturdevant’s was recently awarded, “Employer of the Year for Hiring Veterans” from the Sioux Falls American Legion. They also have a clear vision of their investment in people and technology, another strategic fit with HDATP.

“It’s an exciting time to be in the commercial vehicle aftermarket, and we’re proud to have Sturdevant’s join the HDA Truck Pride team. Strategic vision and immaculate implementation are key elements to success and Sturdevant’s has proven their success over the past eight decades. We’re glad to be their partner as they move forward with their next chapter in commercial vehicle,” says Tina Alread, director of sales and marketing with HDATP.
