“The role of the cataloging department has experienced exceptional growth in the past several years. The message that ‘Data is King’ could not be truer for any other segment of the auto care industry,” said Kathleen Schmatz, president and CEO, Auto Care Association. “After nearly half a century operating as the National Catalog Managers Association (NCMA), the group has changed its name to better reflect the valuable role its members play in the auto care industry.”

The newly renamed ACPN will celebrate 43 years at the largest gathering of content management professionals, the Annual Knowledge Exchange on May 15-18, 2016, in New Orleans. The group will continue to provide opportunities to network with industry peers, collaborate on automotive content-related issues, help shape industry standards and protocols, develop professionally and stay at the forefront of the automotive content industry through the unique programs and events provided by the network.

ACPN’s mission statement is “To provide networking, education and collaboration and leadership opportunities for content management professionals in the automotive industry.”
