Mister Transmission, Canada’s largest chain of transmission and technology experts is beginning a significant expansion into the Quebec market, expected to result in the opening of 20 new locations in the next several years. This growth initiative begins today with the announcement of a long-term development agreement with MMO Group, Vast-Auto Distribution’s auto care franchising division, which owns and operates Mister Muffler, Monsieur Muffler and OCTO Auto Service Plus with a combined 80 automotive repair facilities across Quebec and Ontario.

Under the terms of the agreement, Mister Transmission has granted master franchise rights to MMO Group for the province of Quebec with the objective of developing the brand and increasing its presence in the region.

Quebec has proven to be a large identifiable market for automotive aftermarket service providers, and currently there is no one like Mister Transmission in this marketplace, the company says. “We are always searching for ways to strategically exploit our current automotive franchising expertise and resources to differentiate ourselves. We believe this partnership with Mister Transmission provides a unique specialization that will diversify our franchise portfolio without competing with our current brands,” said Daniel Malandruccolo, vice president, MMO Group.

“It is a very welcoming arrangement. They provide automotive aftermarket management expertise in Quebec, and we supply our brand with over 50 years of tools for success,” says Randall Moore, president and CEO, Mister Transmission (International). “We are very proud to be new partners with MMO Group, and can foresee them exceeding the forecasted growth plans.”

With shops in almost every province across Canada, it has been the company’s long-term goal to one day expand the Mister Transmission brand into Quebec.

MMO Group is actively seeking potential Mister Transmission franchisees interested in a business opportunity throughout the province of Quebec. The company is offering a franchise initiative that includes a well-recognized brand, dedicated support staff, advertising support and financial assistance.
