New Aftermarket/SEMA Channel Now Available On NIADA’s Redesigned Video Platform

The objective of the Aftermarket/SEMA Channel is to provide an educational resource for NIADA members interested in expanding their dealership offerings to include aftermarket accessories.

SEMA-LogoThe Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) and the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association have expanded their industry partnership through the development of a new automotive aftermarket accessories educational channel within the recently revamped NIADA.TV platform.

The objective of the Aftermarket/SEMA Channel is to provide an educational resource for NIADA members interested in expanding their dealership offerings to include aftermarket accessories. It offers the latest information on industry best practices, examples of how current members have been successful in the accessories market and resources to help set up a dealership accessories department.

To view the channel, visit niada.tv and click on the SEMA/Aftermarket Channel tab.

“Accessorization is often an untapped profit center for many dealerships, and it can result in increased vehicle sales and attract new customers,” said Clayton Drescher, SEMA senior council manager. “To help dealers understand the restyling industry, the SEMA Professional Restylers Organization collaborated with NIADA to produce videos that expose dealerships to the incredible diversity of products and services available through the aftermarket.

“Members of the SEMA PRO council, representing accessory manufacturers, installers and vehicle restylers, are available to help NIADA members expand or develop their accessory programs.”

Drescher said the channel is perfect for dealers with service bays and a thriving aftermarket business, but even those without a service department or those who don’t know how to start an aftermarket business can benefit. The new Aftermarket/SEMA Channel on NIADA.TV provides step-by-step instructions, training and tips of the aftermarket trade for dealers to start and grow their businesses with a new profit opportunity.

“The automotive accessories industry is a multibillion dollar market that the majority of our members are missing out on,” added Scott Lilja, NIADA senior vice president of member services. “This new SEMA-NIADA.TV initiative will help provide our members the tools they need to quickly implement a cost-effective, profitable and highly differentiating automotive accessories solution for their customers.”
