Autopartners Participacoes SA Signs Agreement To Purchase Affinia Automotiva Brazil

The transaction, which is subject to regulatory approval and customary closing conditions, is expected to close in the second half of this year.

Affinia - logoLast week, it was announced that Affinia Group was putting the Brazil portion of its Affinia South America business up for sale.

Today, it has been announced that Autopartners Participacoes SA, represented by Jorge Schertel, signed an agreement to purchase Affinia Group’s Automotiva business in Brazil. Automotiva is a leading South American manufacturer and distributor of Nakata-branded products, including shock absorbers, suspension and steering, brakes and transmission, among other product lines.

“The Automotiva team and its culture of innovation and quality has always been a leader of independent replacement parts in the Brazilian market,” said Schertel. “The combination of the solid Automotiva team, with the new corporate structure and investment team, will strengthen our commitment to the Brazilian aftermarket.”

The transaction, which is subject to regulatory approval and customary closing conditions, is expected to close in the second half of this year.
