Remanufacturing Is Part Of The G7 Summit Declarations

The Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA), along with international associations CLEPA, FIRM and VDA, were able to include the term/topic "Remanufacturing" in the official G7 documents. The sustainable and continuous lobbying efforts of the last couple of years have been successful, the associations reported.

The sustainable and continuous lobbying efforts of the last couple of years have been successful, the associations reported.

Remanufacturing is covered under the “Resource Efficiency” section, and it states that G7 is going to establish “the G7-Allicance on Resource Efficiency as a forum to share knowledge and create information networks … As set out in the annex, the Alliance will collaborate with businesses, SMEs, and other relevant stakeholders to advance opportunities offered by resource efficiency, promote best practices, and foster innovation. …”

In addition, the annex states under the headline “G7-Allicance on Resource Efficiency”: “… A series of workshops on best practices will initiate this process. Subjects to be addressed in workshops under the G7-Alliance on Resource Efficiency could include: … Circular economies, eco-design, sharing economies and remanufacturing …”
