Sunsong Holdings Inc. Acquires Harco Manufacturing Group In Moraine, Ohio

Harco is a manufacturer of brake hose assemblies serving the OEM market from its 311,000-square-foot facility in Moraine, Ohio. The company includes 100 employees.

Sunsong - LogoEffective June 1, Sunsong Holdings Inc. has acquired Harco Manufacturing Group LLC, founded in 1976. Harco is a manufacturer of brake hose assemblies serving the OEM market from its 311,000-square-foot facility in Moraine, Ohio. The company includes 100 employees.

Sunsong Holdings Inc. is the U.S. subsidiary of Qingdao Sunsong Co. LTD located in Qingdao, China. Sunsong is one of the largest manufacturers of brake hose in China, and also produces a wide range of automotive hoses and assemblies, including power steering, oil cooler, and air conditioning hose for the global OEM market and the automotive aftermarket.

Wei Zengxiang, chairman of Qingdao Sunsong Co. LTD, stated “The acquisition of Harco is an important step in the further global expansion of Sunsong. [With] the similarities of the two companies [it] was clear early on that the value placed on employees, honesty, safety and quality made this a perfect fit. With manufacturing in the two largest automotive markets, the continued growth and success of Sunsong is well-positioned for years to come.”

Sunsong North America Inc., the aftermarket division of Sunsong Holdings, Inc. located in Raleigh, North Carolina, will continue to service the North American aftermarket operations in partnership with Harco.

Doug Freeman, president of Sunsong North America Inc., commented, “This strategic acquisition will allow Sunsong to further develop our strategy of being ‘first to market’ in all of our product categories. The intellectual capital of the Harco team members solidifies this commitment.”

Don Keeling, director of sales for Sunsong North America, further commented, “As the global leader in fluid transfer products, this announcement expands our global footprint at the OE platform level and enhances our value to the North American aftermarket.”
