NAPA Filters hosted some special guests at NASCAR’s Coca-Cola 600 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, over the Memorial Day Weekend. Ten “Fallen Heroes,” who fought bravely for our country, were treated as the heroes they truly are at NASCAR’s premier holiday event. The honored Marines viewed the festivities from NAPA Filters’ luxury suite and enjoyed celebrity treatment throughout the weekend. While there, they and their families were visited by Taya Kyle, author of “American Wife: A Memoir of Love, War, Faith and Renewal” and widow of “American Sniper” Chris Kyle, as well as NAPA’s young NASCAR driver Chase Elliot.

The event was hosted by NAPA Filters’ Brand Manager Paul Kortman and Keith Wilson, president of Affinia Group and CEO of Affinia Global Filtration, manufacturers of NAPA Filter products. During the weekend, Gunnery Sergeant Eric Dueweke presented Kortman and Wilson with a certificate of appreciation to NAPA Filters on behalf of the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.

NAPA Filters has long been a supporter of the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, working with NAPA Auto Parts Stores and customers to raise donations for this heroic cause. In a recent promotion, NAPA Filters placed donation canisters in thousands of NAPA Auto Parts Stores and collected tens of thousands of dollars for this worthy cause. The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund’s sole focus is building treatment centers for military personnel suffering the effects of traumatic brain injury and psychological health conditions. These “Intrepid Spirit Centers” are typically located on the grounds of military bases, and at this time, there are six facilities serving those in need.
