Rally Manufacturing Names Gary Pointon Executive Vice President Of Sales

MIAMI – Christian Iacovelli, president of Rally Manufacturing, has announced the appointment of Gerald “Gary” Pointon as executive vice president of sales, effective immediately.

“Gary’s 35-plus years in consumer products, in general, and the automotive aftermarket, in particular, is what we feel we need to increase sales, distribution and profitability. He has worked for some of the most recognizable consumer products companies, which include, STP Corp., Polaroid Corporation, Revlon Cosmetics and Rubbermaid Products.

“In addition, he has helped small entrepreneurial companies to grow and prosper in the automotive aftermarket. Some of these include Cal Custom/Hollywood Accessories, Winner International and Quest Industries, as well as Rally Manufacturing. He helped all of these companies establish dominant positions in the automotive aftermarket,” said Iacovelli.

Pointon leaves his current position as president of automotive accessory company Superior Automotive in Memphis, Tenn., to join Rally Manufacturing.

“Thirty years ago, almost to the day, I joined Rally Manufacturing as national sales manager to help Christian’s father, Marc Iacovelli, build Rally Manufacturing into what became the premier automotive accessory company in the industry,” said Pointon. “After an eight-year tenure, I left to pursue a different yet similar path. I am pleased to have the opportunity to again help Rally Manufacturing and Christian build on Rally’s 30-year legacy of product innovation and packaging excellence.”

Based in Miami, Fla., Rally Manufacturing has been developing and manufacturing automotive accessories for more than three decades. The company sells it products through automotive chain stores, automotive wholesalers, mass merchant retailers, warehouse clubs, farm stores, drug stores and specialty retailers.
