DARMSTADT, Germany The Oil Additives team at Evonik has announced two new executive appointments: Carsten Schminke, effective Sept. 1, and Dr. Jeanette Hilf, effective June 1. Schminke has been selected as the global supply chain manager in the oil additives business line of the Coatings & Additives Business Unit, succeeding David Siwinski. Based at the Evonik Technology Center in Horsham, Pa., he will be a member of the OA Management Team and will report to Dr. Ralf Düssel, managing director oil additives.
Schminke joined Evonik in 2002 as the head of controlling and business development in the skin care business line for the former Stockhausen GmbH. In 2006, after transferring to the former Goldschmidt
Chemical Corp. in Hopewell, Va., he took over as senior manager, cost accounting and was then promoted to head of finance and controlling of the consumer specialties business unit in North America.
In 2011, Schminke returned to Germany to work as a consultant/strategic controller in corporate controlling for the Resource Efficiency segment, overseeing the Coatings & Additives business unit and the India region.
As of June 1, Dr. Jeanette Hilf succeeded Dr. Rhishikesh Gokhale, assuming the position of wax modifier lab manager in Darmstadt Product Development, where she is responsible for new lubricant pour point depressants (PPD), fuel, dewaxing aids (DWA) and other wax modification-related developments. She will also lead the “New Macroalcohols New Polymers” project.
