Remy Recognized By Hino Motors For Quality Excellence

To receive this award, a supplier must achieve an annual record of zero plant rejections on products shipped to Hino Motors, a Toyota Group company.

PENDLETON, Ind. – Remy International, manufacturer of Delco Remy heavy-duty starters and alternators, as well as Remy light-duty starters and alternators, was recognized by Hino Motors Manufacturing USA for outstanding performance as a supplier partner. To receive this award, a supplier must achieve an annual record of zero plant rejections on products shipped to Hino Motors, a Toyota Group company.

Daniel Boros, director of heavy-duty truck, bus and export, and Gene Wantuck, global account manager, accepted the Excellence in Quality Award at Hino’s annual business meeting on June 5, in Plymouth, Mich. The award, Boros says, is the direct result of the team effort that occurs every day at Remy.

"Achieving such a great accomplishment involves the efforts of manufacturing operations, design, quality assurance and customer service," he says. "It shows the whole company’s commitment to customers. Quality is lived out every day at Remy as we strive to deliver our products, on time, with responsive customer support."

Boros added that the award conveys that Remy, a supplier of alternators to Hino Motors for approximately seven years, is a proven and reliable source for vehicle parts. While the award recognizes supplier excellence, Boros says it’s also a reflection of design and manufacturing excellence. "In order to consistently deliver such high-quality performance like that which is expected from Hino, a supplier must be very skilled in manufacturing and engineering," he says. "This award shows we’re a state-of-the-art manufacturer as well as supplier."
