Rick Rollins Joins Marx Group Advisors

Notable performance and specialty aftermarket leader will serve as vice president of the firm.

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. – Rick Rollins, a leader in the performance, accessory and specialty automotive industry, has been appointed to the advisory board of Marx Group Advisors. He also will serve as a vice president with Marx Group Advisors.
 
Since starting his career in 1970, Rollins has worked in nearly every segment of the aftermarket – from the repair shop level to distribution to manufacturing. In addition to his work with Marx Group Advisors, Rollins is the founder and president of Rollins Performance Marketing LLC and is currently vice president, general manager of Crane Cams in Daytona Beach, Fla. He also owns Filter Solutions Technologies LLC, a company that manufactures high-end performance fuel filtration systems and filters under the FST Performance brand.
 
Rollins has been an active volunteer with the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA), having served 18 years on the SEMA Board of Directors, which included two years as chairman. Among his numerous awards, Rollins was inducted into the SEMA and MPMC Halls of Fame and twice recognized by the Performance Warehouse Association (PWA) as its “Person of the Year.”

Rollins started in his career in the traditional aftermarket as a technician and auto parts store counterman. He went on to become a high performance buyer for a large warehouse distributor. In 1981, he joined Hastings Manufacturing as a district manager and was promoted to regional sales manager. Rollins moved on to Taylor Cable Products in Kansas City, Mo., where he spent 11 years as vice president of marketing and sales. In 1999, he relocated to Sanford, Fla., to become vice president of marketing and sales with Superchips Inc. He was later promoted to vice president of marketing relations for MSD Performance Group.
 
The Advisory Board of Marx Group Advisors plays a critical role within the organization, providing strategy and relationships within the aftermarket industry network. In addition to Rollins, the advisory board includes the following aftermarket leaders: David Barbeau, Chip Carlson, Jack Creamer, Ray Datt, Howard Kesten, Lou Merz and John Nodson.
 
Marx Group Advisors assists automotive, commercial vehicle and heavy-duty aftermarket companies with strategic consulting services for mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, as well as with capital formation for private equity placements. The company is engaged in all channels of the industry, including manufacturing, warehouse distribution, program groups, jobbers and service and repair chains.
