Bob Johnson of Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems was elected to the Commercial Vehicle Solutions Network (CVSN) board. Johnson, Bendix’s vice president, aftermarket sales, has joined CVSN’s 12-member board for a two-year term as a supplier member.

“CVSN is a vital and trusted forum for communication, information and growth, and Bendix is pleased to support the organization’s role in unifying the voice of the independent aftermarket channel,” Johnson said. “By strengthening the relationships between distributors and key supplier partners, the network better equips the commercial vehicle industry to help fleets and drivers improve safety on the nation’s highways.”

Formed in 2006, CVSN is the largest association for independent parts and service aftermarket distributors serving the transportation industry. Its membership includes nearly 100 of the top independent aftermarket distributors, representing more than 500 locations in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.

Since joining Bendix in 1989, Johnson has served in several marketing and sales roles within the company, and was twice elected to “The President’s Club” honoring Bendix’s top account managers. He has held his current position since March 2009.
