DENSO Sales California Is Now DENSO Products And Services Americas Inc.

The Long Beach-based company becomes DENSO Aftermarket Business Headquarters for the Americas.

LONG BEACH, Calif. – DENSO Sales California Inc. has announced the completion of its reorganization under a new name – DENSO Products and Services Americas Inc. The establishment of its Aftermarket Business Headquarters for the Americas in Long Beach, Calif., was first announced on Oct. 31, 2012, at the AAPEX show in Las Vegas.

As part of the reorganization, American Industrial Manufacturing Services in Murrieta, Calif., a DENSO group company that produces remanufactured products, including starters and alternators, and repairs common rail diesel fuel injectors, is being combined with DENSO Sales California Inc. in Long Beach. The company held a celebration for its employees from both locations in Long Beach.

“This change enhances our aftermarket operations in The Americas and is aligned with the global aftermarket growth plans we announced last year when we introduced DENSO’s Aftermarket Business Unit in Japan,” said Yoshihiko Yamada, president, DENSO Products and Services Americas Inc. “DENSO is dedicated to expand our sales and products for OES and aftermarket in the Americas. This organization change will allow us to develop and launch products more quickly for our customers in the region.”

Yamada will serve as president of DENSO Products and Services Americas Inc. and has been president of DENSO Sales California and American Industrial Manufacturing Services since January 2008.

The new organization will be responsible for engineering, procurement, sales, service and planning for aftermarket, heavy-duty, OES and non-automotive products. DENSO has identified these segments for expansion in the Americas with the goal to provide quality products and services to its customers.

The companies will remain in their current locations in Long Beach and Murrieta. DENSO Products and Services Inc. will employ more than 400 people. The new company will serve OES, automotive aftermarket, heavy-duty and non-automotive customers and also will provide expanded services. The new company’s services will include remanufacturing starters and alternators, repair for common rail diesel fuel injectors, navigation system repairs and plans to add additional services in the future.
